abstract = "The technique of remote sensing is becoming an important tool that
helps planning and land management, has proved effective as
multitemporal studies and simulation environments with a
projection of future scenarios. These advances have enabled the
understanding of multiple uses of the soil, for example, on the
Ilha Grande, district of Angra dos Reis. Here, the complex
dynamics overlaps mainly to environmental uses of environmental
protection and tourism in a portion of the territory in which
legal norms are difficult to apply because they are reflections of
different interests that appear on the site. This work has as main
objective to accomplish the digital image processing based
segmentation (division of a digital image into multiple regions or
objects to simplify and / or change the representation of an
image) and then the classification of the image, using
Bhattacharya of the algorithm and software version 5.1.7 SPRING to
assist in analyzing land use and design of settlements scenarios
from the identification of focal points of weakness found along
the road that potentiate the effect of forest edge and the impacts
the environment.",
